Floyd Flippin

A native of Milan, Tennessee, Floyd is a second generation lawyer. His family can trace its West Tennessee roots to the early 1800s.


Floyd is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and University of Tennessee College of Law. 

His practice involves civil litigation of all types, Estates, Real Estate and Mediation. He has also been Gibson County Attorney since 1991.  


He is affiliated with the Tennessee Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Foundation, Gibson County Bar Association, and Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators. 

Floyd is a Board of Trustees Member of the Tennessee Bar Foundation and a 
Hearing Officer with the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility.


Floyd has served as President and Treasurer of the Humboldt Rotary Club, and is a Paul Harris Fellow. He has served multiple terms on the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce Board and is a former President. He is a former Board of Trustees Member at Union University and current Foundation Board Member at Jackson State Community College. He has been a Deacon and Co-Ed Sunday School Teacher since 1991.


He is a TSSAA Official in Basketball and Football.

He enjoys Officiating, Golf and all UT Sports including keeping up with UT Recruiting.


He and his wife, Guinda, have two children, Clint and Claire.
